Whether going up or down hills, around bends or in windy conditions. I’m always amazed at how it still pulls through on the mountain with its 3.5 tonnes. You can drive in a relaxed manner. The overall package of reinforced springs, shock absorbers and air suspension harmonises perfectly. Although I’ve only driven it on the road so far, I’m confident it can handle a lot off-road too. I contacted them a few days ago when we were driving south from Scandinavia. They called me back quickly in my language, which I really appreciated. Marquart is conveniently located in Germany on the way back between the Netherlands and Denmark, so I suggested stopping by to discuss the problems I was having with my Fuso Camper 6.5T.
When I arrived at the workshop on Monday afternoon, I was greeted in French by an employee who introduced me to the workshop manager in English. After inspecting the lorry, I received a quote and a technical proposal an hour later, which was also available. They suggested I give it a try! Within an hour, four new reinforced shock absorbers were fitted to the lorry and two aluminium shells raised the air springs. After a test drive of about ten kilometres, I confirmed the comfort, but was not entirely convinced at first. I paid about £1,400 for the four shock absorbers, the shells and the labour costs.
At 4 p.m., I set off again towards the Netherlands. And there I learned to appreciate the actual change: almost complete elimination of the previous shock absorbers’ bottoming out, almost no more swaying, cornering that was incomparable to the previous day. I have a tilt sensor that beeps at 20°, and it used to beep at every roundabout or sharp bend… Today, not once. That’s really impressive.
When I left, they told me that if I wasn’t satisfied, I could come back and they would try other solutions. Truly high-quality service, very customer-oriented. I can’t say anything about the durability yet, but based on what I’ve seen so far: Thank you to the team!“

“Last year we put together our dream motorhome from a pickup (Mitsubishi L200, built in 2005) and a Bimobil Husky 230 camper (built in 2000). The installation of the Goldschmitt air suspension with the associated increase in weight was not easy, but has brought about a great improvement in stability and driving characteristics.
After 2 holidays in the north and south of Europe with many unpaved roads and country roads, however, we found that it did not run stable enough overall. Therefore, we looked for reinforced shock absorbers. After many discussions and reading partly irritating articles on the internet, we luckily ended up with the Marquart company. Christian Marquart took the time to discuss the special situation of our combination with me and to offer me a solution. During the installation it turned out that the rear shock absorbers did not fit due to our special set-up. Christian didn’t want to accept this and Marquart came up with a solution for us within a day and installed it on the same day with RL Autoservice in Löningen. I have never experienced such customer service and was simply thrilled!
Now we have returned from a 4-week holiday in Norway, where we were able to test the new shock absorbers extensively. My wife and I could hardly believe it, but the camper was very smooth on the road, whether paved or unpaved. We were able to drive one-handed, take corners more quickly and much more. There was hardly any wobbling when standing still. It was really a lot of fun. The product, the service, delivery time, price and the result are just very good.
